Why Flux

Flux is taking the hard out of hardware, by developing the first AI Hardware Engineer. Our goal is to democratize the ability to create bleeding edge hardware, and revolutionize how electronics are designed and built around the world.

About the role

Hardware engineers are an exacting audience. They can spot marketing fluff from a mile away. If you want to reach them, you have to earn it with content that's actually useful, accurate, and written by someone who gets it.

We're looking for an Organic Marketing Lead to own Flux's content engine: SEO, AEO, editorial content, case studies, events, and the writers who produce it all. Your job is to make Flux the obvious answer when a hardware engineer searches for a PCB design tool whether on Google, ChatGPT, or Hackaday.

What you'll own

  • SEO and AEO: make Flux rank for the queries that matter and get cited by AI search surfaces for hardware design topics

  • Editorial content: manage writers, own the content calendar, set the quality bar high. Every piece of content should have a job know what it is before publishing

  • Case studies: real customers, real projects, real outcomes. The most powerful content Flux can produce

  • Events: conferences, meetups, webinars, community partnerships wherever hardware engineers gather

  • Organic social and community: Flux should be a genuine participant in hardware communities, not just a brand account

What we're looking for

  • Deep SEO and AEO expertise not just "I know keywords." You understand crawlability, indexation, structured data, and how LLMs reference content

  • Editorial leadership: you've managed writers, set editorial standards, kept a content calendar moving under real constraints

  • ICP empathy: you understand hardware engineers PCB designers, hardware founders, firmware engineers, mechanical engineers building real things and you write content they'll actually find valuable

  • Analytics fluency: AHREFS, Google Search Console, Profound, attribution tooling. You can tell the difference between pageviews and trials

  • Authentic community presence: you can show up in hardware communities like Hackaday, EEVblog, and Reddit without coming across as a brand account
