About Emergence
We're a thematic holding company backed by the Pritzker Organization focused exclusively on acquiring and scaling category-defining software businesses. Our structure organizes investments into focused portfolios that function as specialized operating groups, each developing deep domain expertise, proven operational playbooks, and long-term partnerships with founders and management teams.
We combine operational rigor with a growth equity mindset—partnering closely with leadership teams to drive sustainable ARR growth, profitability improvements, and industry-leading customer outcomes.
Our current investment portfolios include:
- Emergence Mobility Technologies (AutoTech) – Next-generation vehicle acquisition and inventory management platforms
- Emergence Healthcare Technologies (HCIT) – High-efficiency billing optimization, patient engagement, and clinical care software
- Emergence Container Technologies (Cloud Infrastructure) – Modern DevOps, observability, and secure cloud performance tools
- Emergence Procurement Technologies (Supply Chain Tech) – Procurement, logistics, and manufacturing visibility systems
Our integration function is in active build-out, supporting deal flow across these portfolios.
About The Role
- We are hiring an Integration Coordinator to support post-close integrations across Emergence's portfolio acquisitions. The role reports to the Head of Portfolio Operations & Integration and works alongside deal teams, Operating Partners, and portfolio company management to keep integration workstreams on track from Day 0 through Day 90.
- You will own coordination, communication, and documentation across 1–2 active integrations, scaling to 3–4 at peak deal flow. Functional owners (CFO, HR, IT) and external vendors handle the technical execution. Your focus is the governance, cadence, and follow-through that keeps multiple workstreams aligned across time zones.
- This is an execution role. Strategy, architecture design, and function leadership are owned by the Head of Portfolio Operations & Integration and other senior hires.
What You'll Do
- Maintain Day 0–90 integration plans for assigned deals: intake questionnaires, milestone tracking, RACI matrices, and status reporting
- Facilitate post-close handover between deal teams, Operating Partners, and portfolio company leadership
- Run integration governance cadence — weekly steering committee preparation, bi-weekly workstream syncs, and accountability follow-throughs
- Coordinate vendor onboarding across standard service providers (Ramp, Sage Intacct, HRIS/payroll platforms, insurance, IT)
- Capture lessons from each deal into living playbooks, templates, and checklists
- Surfacing gaps in pre-close diligence and feeding structured input back to the deal team
Minimum Qualifications
- 3–6 years in management consulting, corporate development, or PE/portfolio operations, with direct post-close M&A integration experience (not deal advisory, not pure due diligence)
- End-to-end ownership of at least one 90-day integration plan — running the cadence, holding workstreams accountable, and driving close-out
- Demonstrated stakeholder management without direct authority across steering committees, workstream leads, and executives
- Fluent written and spoken English; daily calls with US-based executives are core to the role
- Minimum 4 hours of daily overlap with US Pacific time
- Comfort operating inside frameworks that are still being built; the integration function is actively under design
Preferred Qualifications
- Big 4 M&A integration practice experience (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC) or PE portfolio operations background
- B2B SaaS integration exposure
- Experience standing up playbooks, PMO frameworks, or governance models from scratch
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Ramp, Rippling, or comparable systems
- Prior experience working with US-based teams from an offshore location
- Proficiency with AI productivity tools
Compensation & Logistics
- Competitive base plus performance variable. Variable milestones are defined collaboratively in the first 60 days based on integration cadence and deliverables.
- Engagement structure: 1099 contractor (for non-US candidates) arrangement, falls under Section 44ADA of the Indian tax code, meaningfully different in take-home from a salaried role.
- Work arrangement: Fully remote, no travel expected
What We're Not Hiring For
This role is not a Head of Integration, VP, or strategy seat, and it is not a software implementation role. Candidates whose experience is primarily in IT service transition, ERP/CRM rollout, or BPO transition are unlikely to be a fit for the post-close M&A integration work this position requires.
